App Says “Mock Location Detected”

Understand why an Android app rejects mocked coordinates and how to test responsibly without trying to bypass its controls.

A detection message usually means the receiving app has chosen not to accept Android mock locations. It does not necessarily mean the provider setup failed.

Confirm what still works

  • Keep FlashGo selected as the mock location app.
  • Start one recognizable point.
  • Open a trusted map and confirm the coordinate changed.
  • Return to the app that showed the warning.

Respect the receiving app policy

If the warning appears only in one app, that app may intentionally block simulated locations. FlashGo does not guarantee compatibility and should not be used to bypass a safety, fraud or access control.

For developers testing their own app

  • Allow mock input only in a debug or staging build.
  • Keep production validation enabled.
  • Log the rejected reason without exposing sensitive anti-abuse logic.
  • Test the user-facing error and recovery path.

Common questions

Can I turn off Android’s mock-location marker?

This guide does not provide bypass instructions. Android and receiving apps control how mock input is identified.

Why does a map work while another app does not?

The map may accept mocked coordinates while the other app intentionally rejects them or combines other signals.

Use responsiblyReceiving apps can detect or reject mocked locations. Follow applicable laws and third-party terms; do not use FlashGo to mislead others or bypass restrictions.
