Android GPS route simulator
Put your app anywhere. Then put it in motion.
Build, replay and repeat realistic GPS routes on a real Android device. Test geofences, navigation and location-aware flows without leaving your desk.
Start with the job
Test the location behavior that matters.
MockLoc uses Android’s built-in mock location provider. Create a route, set its speed and reproduce the same conditions whenever a bug returns.
Cross every boundary
Validate geofence entry, dwell and exit events with controlled points around the edge.
Geofence testingReproduce location bugs
Replay the same route, speed and accuracy instead of trying to recreate the issue outdoors.
Location app testingDemo movement live
Present a moving-device flow from one desk, with pause, resume and loop controls.

Quick answers
Mock location, explained.
Clear answers to the setup questions Android developers and QA teams search most often.
What is mock location on Android?
Mock location lets a selected developer app provide test coordinates to Android’s location system. It is intended for development and QA; it does not change your IP address or make you anonymous.
Does MockLoc require root access?
No. MockLoc uses Android’s standard “Select mock location app” setting inside Developer Options.
Can a mock location be detected?
Yes. Android can mark a location as mocked, and receiving apps can decide how to handle it. MockLoc is built for apps you own or are authorized to test.
Will MockLoc keep running when I switch apps?
MockLoc uses a foreground service for background playback. Device battery policies can still affect long-running sessions, so use the troubleshooting guide if playback stops.
