Developer Options exposes Android’s test and diagnostics controls. Enabling the menu does not root the device, but the settings inside it can affect behavior—change only what your test requires.
Enable the menu
- Open Settings → About phone.
- Find Build number. On some devices it appears under Software information.
- Tap Build number seven times and confirm your screen lock if prompted.
- Return to Settings and open Developer Options.
Select only what you need
For FlashGo, the important setting is “Select mock location app.” You do not need to enable USB debugging, unlock the bootloader or change animation scales.
Turn Developer Options off later
You can disable the Developer Options master switch after testing. To restore normal location first, stop FlashGo and set the mock location app to None.
Common questions
Does enabling Developer Options void a warranty?
Simply revealing Android’s developer menu is different from unlocking a bootloader. Device policies and warranties vary, so follow your manufacturer’s guidance.
Where is Build number on Samsung?
