Turn Off Mock Location and Restore Real GPS

Stop a mock GPS session, deselect the provider and restore real Android location.

Stopping the active location change is usually enough for a test break. Deselect the mock provider when you want the device fully returned to its normal location setup.

Use responsiblyFlashGo includes developer testing among its stated uses. Receiving apps can detect or reject mocked locations; follow applicable laws and third-party terms.

Stop the active session

  • Open FlashGo and stop the active location change.
  • Confirm the route or location session has ended.
  • Open the app under test again and request a fresh position.

Deselect the provider

  • Open Settings → Developer Options.
  • Tap “Select mock location app.”
  • Choose None.
  • Keep Developer Options enabled only if you still need other development controls.

Verify real GPS

Move near a window or outdoors, open a trusted map and wait for a fresh fix. A receiving app may cache the previous coordinate; force-closing it or toggling the device location service can trigger a refresh.

Common questions

Why does my phone still show the test location?

The receiving app may be displaying a cached coordinate. Stop FlashGo, select None and request a fresh location.

Must I uninstall FlashGo?

No. Deselecting it as the mock provider is enough to stop it supplying test coordinates.
